The flood risk of different regions of The Netherlands has been identified by the Dutch National Governmental organization called Rijkswaterstaat (RWS). According to ‘The National Flood Risk Analysis for the Netherlands’, published in 2015, Commissioned by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the annual probability of flooding of Agriport is 1/580.

In comparison, the annual probability of flooding of Groningen (including Eemshaven) is 1/180 and the annual probability of flooding in Amsterdam is 1/80.
